Vladislav Lantratov awarded the prize Benois de la Danse 2018 for the role of Rudolf Nureyev in the Bolshoi Theatre's production «Nureyev». The awarding ceremony and the gala concert of the nominees were held on June 5 at the Historical Stage of the Bolshoi Theatre.
The winners of the Benois prize were also creators of the «Nureyev»: Ilya Demutsky as the best composer, Yuri Posokhov as the best choreographer and Kirill Serebrennikov as the best scenographer.

This is a special performance and a special role for me. It is necessary to live the life of a bright personality, an amazing dancer, to convince not only the audience, but also professionals, and himself.
Thanks to my partners in this performance: Anastasia Stashkevich, Denis Savin, Maria Alexandrova, to all the artists who were «sick» with this work; the team of guest artists, Igor Vernik and Vladimir Koshevoy.

"The Taming of the Shrew" created by Jean-Christophe Maillot in 2014 for the Bolshoi dancers, will be performed by the Ballets de Monte-Carlo at the Grimaldi-Forum. Vladislav Lantratov and Ekaterina Krysanova will perform roles of Petruchio and Katarina on December 29 & 31 as guest artists.

Vladislav Lantratov was born in Moscow, Russia to a family of ballet dancers. His mother Inna Leshchinskaya and father Valery Lantratov were principal dancers at the Stanislavsky ballet in Moscow. He graduated from the Moscow Choreographic Academy in 2006, where he had studied under Ilya Kuznetsov, and joined the Bolshoi Ballet in the same year. His teachers in Bolshoi are Mikhail Lavrovsky and Valery Lagunov.
In 2006 Lantratov performed in the grand pas in Raymonda, and in the same year danced in Carmen Suite and the Nutcracker. In 2007 he he was in the first cast of Leonid Desyatnikov`s Russian Seasons (choreography by Alexey Ratmansky) at the Bolshoi (performing as one of the Pair in Blue, later one of the Pair in Yellow).
In 2009, Lantratov performed as the Ballet Dancer in Ratmansky's The Bright Stream. The same year he learned the parts of the Evil Genius in Swan Lake and Florent in La Esmeralda. The following year, he performed for the first time in Romeo and Juliet as Count Paris and appeared in performances of Sleeping Beauty as Prince Fortune and the Blue Bird. Same year he was awarded the youth grant from the independent Triumph award.

In 2013, he was chosen to be the first dancer to perform the role of Onegin at the Bolshoi Theater in John Cranko's Onegin (with Olga Smirnova as Tatiana). Later, in 2015, he performed this role with Stuttgart Ballet in Stuttgart (with Evgenia Obraztsova as Tatiana).
Also he has performed in the first Bolshoi casts of many ballets, including Wayne McGregor's Chroma, George Balanchine's Jewels (Emeralds; in 2016 he has performed Rubies), Yuri Possokhov's Classical Symphony and Lightfoot-Leon`s Short time together.

Today in his repertoire many key roles in classical ballets like Prince Siegfried in Swan lake, Albrecht in Giselle, Jean de Brienne in Raymonda and also roles in main Yuri Grigorovich`s ballets, incl. Tsar Ivan (Ivan the Terrible), Crassus (Spartacus), Boris (The Golden Age) and Ferkhad (Legend about Love), Nutcracker-Prince (Nutcracker).
